Famke Janssen cracked a rib on The Blacklist: Redemption

Actress Famke Janssen was left with a broken rib after a recent fight scene-gone-wrong with her The Blacklist: Redemption co-star Ryan Eggold.
The Taken beauty reveals she injured herself while shooting The Blacklist spin-off series as Eggold, in character as his undercover operative Tom Keen, grabbed her from behind during an on-camera scuffle – but she is adamant it wasn’t his fault.
“I’m a lot on the clumsy side,” she told U.S. breakfast show Today. “I’ve broken, I think, four ribs over the course of my acting career, one of them very recently, about two weeks ago on the show, doing a scene with Ryan Eggold.”
The Blacklist: Redemption began filming late last year (16), and the fight scene in question aired in the U.S. last month (Mar17).
Famke, 52, can pinpoint the moment she felt her rib crack as she watches the show on TV, something she has only recently started to do in a bid to improve her performance.
“I never actually watched my own stuff (before),” she confessed. “One of my (actor) friends… said it really helps watching yourself. You can learn as you’re doing it, and so I took it to heart and I’m watching the show (The Blacklist: Redemption) now and it’s really interesting. I mean, you can learn from it. It’s a little difficult, and you have to get past the, ‘Oh my god, what did I do here?’, or ‘Why did I say that?’, or ‘Couldn’t they have used a different take?’, kind of thing!”
