Forrester Harvey worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Harvey kickstarted his acting career in various films such as "The Ring" (1927), "The White Sheik" (1929) and "Guilty Hands" (1931). He also appeared in "Devotion" (1931), "The Man in Possession" (1931) and the Spencer Tracy comedy "Sky Devils" (1932). He continued to act in productions like the comedy "The Invisible Man" (1933) with Claude Rains, "The Mystery of Mr. X" (1934) and "Limehouse Blues" (1934). He also appeared in "The Painted Veil" (1934). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the comedy adaptation "Personal Property" (1937) with Jean Harlow, "The Man Who Cried Wolf" (1937) with Lewis Stone and the Judy Garland dramatic sports film "Thoroughbreds Don't Cry" (1937). He also appeared in the adventure "Kidnapped" (1938) with Warner Baxter and the Peter Lorre mystery "Mysterious Mr. Moto" (1938). Harvey last acted in "The Man in Half Moon Street" (1944).
