Biography

Frank Clark worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Clark began his acting career with roles in such films as the western "The Spoilers" (1914) with William Farnum, "The Lost City" (1920) and "Hands Off" (1921). He also appeared in "The Lone Star Ranger" (1923). His film career continued throughout the twenties and the thirties in productions like "The Cloud Rider" (1925), "Wolf Blood" (1925) and the action movie "Hell's Angels" (1930) with Ben Lyon. He also appeared in "The Lost Squadron" (1932) with Richard Dix. In the fifties through the eighties, Clark lent his talents to projects like "The Barretts of Wimpole Street" (1957) starring Jennifer Jones, "Strange Shadows in an Empty Room" (1976), "Hurricane" with Jason Robards (1979) and "A Letter to Brezhnev" (1986) starring Alexandra Pigg. Clark last worked on the Paul Newman dramatic period piece "Fat Man and Little Boy" (1989).
