Biography

Fred Graham worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Graham kickstarted his acting career in various films such as the Billy Elliott western "Marshal of Reno" (1944), "Cyclotrode "X"" (1946) and "On the Old Spanish Trail" (1947) with Roy Rogers. He also appeared in the drama "Border Incident" (1949) with Ricardo Montalban, the Laraine Day drama "I Married a Communist" (1950) and the crime feature "The Asphalt Jungle" (1950) with Sterling Hayden. He kept working in film throughout the fifties, starring in "The Golden Blade" (1953), "Escape From Fort Bravo" (1953) with William Holden and the Barbara Stanwyck crime picture "Witness to Murder" (1954). He also appeared in the Victor Mature historical film "Demetrius and the Gladiators" (1954). Toward the end of his career, he tackled roles in "The Wings of Eagles" (1957), the dramatic adaptation "Vertigo" (1958) with James Stewart and the horror movie "The Giant Gila Monster" (1959) with Don Sullivan. He also appeared in "Woman Obsessed" (1959) with Susan Hayward and the western "Rio Bravo" (1959) with John Wayne. Graham also acted in "Brick Bradford."
