Freddie Highmore puzzled by Kansas ‘boycott’ of his hit U.S. TV show

Actor Freddie Highmore can’t understand why people in Kansas aren’t watching his hit medical drama The Good Doctor.
The TV show has become one of America’s biggest hits since debuting last year (17) and everyone appears to be watching the Brit’s portrayal of autistic surgeon Shaun Murphy, but he can’t understand why people in Kansas appear to have no interest.
“I got this one recent map of the United States that said, by state, which states were watching, and the bluer the better… and Kansas was just completely white,” Freddie said during a recent taping of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
“No one seems to be watching the show in Kansas. I don’t know whether I’ve done something to offend those (people) in Kansas. (My character) Shaun is from Wyoming; is there, like, a rivalry between Wyoming and Kansas?”
