From a Jack to a King songwriter Ned Miller dead at 90

The country singer/songwriter behind hits like I Don’t Believe I’ll Fall In Love Today and From a Jack to a King has died, aged 90.
Ned Miller first found success as a songwriter in the mid-1950s and hit the charts in 1956 with the song Dark Moon, which was recorded by both Gale Storm and Bonnie Guitar. He also wrote A Falling Star for Jimmy C. Newman.
But his biggest hit was From a Jack to a King, which became a crossover hit for Miller in 1963, selling over two million copies. The song was covered by Rocky Van Shelton in the 1980s and hit the top of the U.S. country charts.
Miller was also the songwriter behind the hit Invisible Tears, which was recorded by Connie Smith, Bobby Bare, and the Ray Conniff Singers.
