Suddenly, your family’s Thanksgiving drama doesn’t seem so serious. A little more than a week after Halle Berry was denied the opportunity to move to France with her 4-year-old daughter, Nahla — following claims that the paparazzi and two stalkers made her fear for her safety in the states — police responded to a dispute at Berry’s home on Thanksgiving between the actress’ ex, Gabriel Aubry, and fiancé, Olivier Martinez.
The LAPD tells People that Aubry “was booked for a private persons arrest for battery” following a physical altercation between the two men. (Berry’s ex, who could not be reached by Hollywood.com for comment, was at the actress’ home to drop off their daughter for the holiday.) A source tells People, “Gabriel attacked Olivier and Olivier defended himself,” while TMZ reports both men were treated for injuries at the hospital. Bail was set at $20,000 and Aubry has since been released, TMZ reports.
The exact nature of the argument between Aubry and Martinez is not yet known, but Berry’s ex and the actress have been fighting a brutal custody battle since their split in 2010. Though Aubry was granted a win in early November when a judge blocked Berry’s move overseas, Berry won a protective order following Aubry and Martinez’s Thanksgiving fight demanding her ex to stay 100 yards away from Berry, Martinez, and Nahla.
