Biography

Gail Bonney was an actress with a strong presence in film throughout her career. In her early acting career, Bonney appeared in such films as the Bette Davis drama "Beyond the Forest" (1949), "Caged" (1950) and "People Will Talk" (1951) with Cary Grant. She also appeared in the comedy "Dream Wife" (1953) with Cary Grant, the Jose Ferrer biopic "Deep in My Heart" (1954) and the dramatic adaptation "Magnificent Obsession" (1954) with Jane Wyman. She continued to work steadily in film throughout the fifties, appearing in "Written on the Wind" (1957), the Dorothy Malone dramatic biopic "Too Much, Too Soon" (1958) and the Tony Curtis comedy "The Perfect Furlough" (1958). She also appeared in the comedic adaptation "Bell, Book and Candle" (1958) with James Stewart. She also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Star Trek" (1966-69). She also was featured in the TV movies "The Priest Killer" (1971-72) and "The Devil's Daughter" (1972-73). Bonney last appeared in "Kingston: The Power Play" (1976-77).
