Sean Bean may not be as gallant in real life as his Game of Thrones character, Eddard Stark, is on TV. On Wednesday, the 53-year-old actor was reportedly arrested and then questioned for allegedly harassing his ex-wife, Georgina Sutcliffe, with phone calls and abusive text messages.
“A 53-year-old man attended a central London police station by appointment yesterday, where he was arrested on suspicion of harassment and bailed until a later date,” a Scotland Yard spokesperson told People. The UK’s Mirror identified Bean as the man by posting a picture of him arriving at the station. Police say that the man was not charged.
Bean and Sutcliffe began dating in 2006 and tied the knot in February 2008. She was his fourth wife — but, it wasn’t a fairy tale ending. Domestic disturbances brought police to their home three different times. Their divorce was finalized on Dec. 21, 2010.
Hollywood.com has yet to hear back from Bean’s rep.
