Garbage cancel Australian gig

British rockers Garbage have cancelled a concert planned for Wollongong, Australia.
The Stupid Girl rockers were due to play their first gig in the seaside city in 17 years at the WIN Entertainment Centre on 1 December (16).
However, organisers at Frontier Promotions have since cancelled the date for undisclosed reasons, local newspaper the Illawarra Mercury reports.
A representative for Garbage has confirmed the Wollongong date is no longer on their tour schedule.
Ticket holders for the abandoned concert, which also featured Australian acts The Temper Trap and Tash Sultana on the bill, have been offered full refunds.
Garbage have just wrapped the U.S. leg of their world tour, but it hasn’t all gone smoothly. During a recent gig in Los Angeles, frontwoman Shirley Manson had a fan ejected after he threw a cup of beer at the stage.
Shirley launched into a foul-mouthed tirade against the hooligan before requesting security officials to boot the person from the Hollywood Forever Cemetery venue.
“You do not get to throw f**king beer at me and stay in my concert!” she shouted. “F**k you! Get the f**k out of my concert right now!”
Garbage are set to hit Europe before the Australian leg of their tour begins in Melbourne on 24 November (16).
