Biography

Gay Thomas Wilson was a talented actress who starred in a number of television shows. Wilson began her acting career with roles in the series "Seinfeld" (1989-1998), "Law & Order" (NBC, 1990-2010) and "Homicide: Life on the Street" (1992-99). She also was featured in the miniseries "Laurel Avenue" (1992-93). She also took on a few movie roles at the time, appearing in the Richard Gere crime picture "The Cotton Club" (1984). She continued to work steadily in television throughout the nineties, appearing on "M.A.N.T.I.S." (1994-95), "Matt Waters" (CBS, 1995-96) and "Swift Justice" (UPN, 1995-96). She also appeared in "Early Edition" (CBS, 1996-2000) and "Cracker" (ABC, 1997-98). Wilson focused on film in more recent years, appearing in the Freddie Prinze Jr. comedy "Boys and Girls" (2000), the Nicole Ari Parker drama "Dancing in September" (2001) and the comedic adaptation "Love Don't Cost a Thing" (2003) with Nick Cannon. She also worked in television during these years, including roles in "Mercy Point" (UPN, 1998-99) and "The Sopranos" (HBO, 1998-2006). Wilson most recently acted on "Nip/Tuck" (FX, 2003-2010).
