George Clooney Feels He Should Have Told Danny DeVito His Boozing Secret

George Clooney feels terrible for the booze controversy surrounding pal Danny DeVito because he didn’t let him in on his secret to staying sober.

Pint-sized DeVito hit the headlines earlier this week when he appeared on The View still recovering from a heavy night out with Clooney.

And movie hunk Clooney has accepted he’s partly to blame for his friend’s slurring slip-up.

He says, “I got to the point where I was dumping the shots into a plant next to me and I don’t think Danny saw me do that.

Speaking about the “brutal night” in a taped TV interview, which will appear on the Today show on Monday, Clooney adds, “We were doing shots of limoncello and that’s all I can really say on the subject… All I can remember.”

“The funniest thing was… we were just at a restaurant. It wasn’t like we were out drinking. We were at a restaurant, sitting down, drinking.

“I was in bed by 11:30 at night and I woke up at 7 a.m. and I was still drunk.”
