Gilbert Clayton worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Clayton started his career with a role in "Blood and Sand" (1922). In the twenties and the nineties, Clayton worked on "Main Street" (1923) starring Florence Vidor. Toward the end of his career, Clayton worked on the Dustin Hoffman dramatic adaptation "Sphere" (1998). Gilbert Clayton passed away in March 1950 at the age of 91.
