Actress Jane Lynch married her fiancee, psychologist Lara Embry in a private ceremony this Monday in Massachusetts.
Lynch, who is best known as the outrageously evil Glee villain Sue Sylvester, has had a long career on stage and in film, getting her start with Chicago’s Second City improv group and appearing in Best In Show and The 40 Year Old Virgin. While Lynch and Embry live in California, the pair was forced to wed in Massachusetts after the controversial Proposition 8 made same-sex marriage illegal in California.
The actress has not released a statement to the press about her wedding, but the staff of the Blue Heron restaurant where the event was held spilled the beans. Restaurant co-owner Deborah Snow told reporters that the reception “was small, warm, intimate and very sweet. You could feel the love and friendship amongst the group.”
