Glenn Hughes allowed to continue tour after onstage medical emergency

British rocker Glenn Hughes has been cleared to continue his tour after abandoning a concert on Tuesday (26Sep17) due to medical reasons.
The former Deep Purple and Black Sabbath musician had to be helped off stage during a concert in Christchurch, New Zealand after feeling dizzy.
Glenn has now explained to fans on Facebook that he was suffering from dehydration, but has been cleared to continue his tour in Wellington, New Zealand on Wednesday.
“I’m now in Wellington for my show this evening. Had dehydration at my show last night in Christchurch and felt dizzy,” the post read.
“Sorry I couldn’t make the full show, I played for 1 hour 45 mins, when I left the stage, helped by my tech. Thanks to all who have sent loving messages – you are all in my thoughts.”
Hughes, 65, has a history of heart problems and suffered a heart attack in 1991.
In a statement to New Zealand website Stuff.co.nz, the rocker’s publicist confirmed medics had given the star a clean bill of health and his tour would continue as planned.
After his gig in Wellington the star is heading to Australia for concerts in Melbourne, Kings Beach, and Brisbane.
