Golden Globes Fashions That Trumped Oscar Fashion

“Who are you wearing?” It’s the question most asked actresses (and, okay, even some actors) on the red carpet for awards shows. It’s also the question the stars must ask themselves before hitting up the awards circuit: “Who are you wearing… and where?” While most actresses tend to save their hottest outfit for the big dance (the Oscars) some simply can’t wait and go all out for the Golden Globes instead.

There should be some pretty memorable duds on the Globes red carpet this Sunday, and don’t be surprised if the dresses you see on Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Lawrence, and Jessica Chastain trump the designer duds they don on February 24 at the Academy Awards. Need proof? We recalled ten gorgeous stars —including Jennifer Aniston, Oscar/Globe frequent visitor Penelope Cruz, and Hathaway’s Les Miserables costar Amanda Seyfried (pictured) — who didn’t save the best for last and wore a better dress to the Globes rather than the Oscars.
