Google Doodle Celebrates Yosemite as the Park Closes Due to Government Shutdown — GALLERY

Google decided to commemorate the 123rd anniversary of Yosemite Park today with a Doodle of various park badges and attractions. Ironically, today also happens to be the first day of a government shutdown that will not only see suspension of pay for government workers, but also the closing of government owned attractions like monuments, museums, and yes, national parks. Those who were hoping to enjoy the majestic trees, waterfalls, and wildlife of the park today will have to be satisfied with simply a Google Image search. Happy first day of the fiscal year, everybody!
