Biography

Grandon Rhodes worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Rhodes kickstarted his acting career in various films such as the Jean Gabin drama "The Impostor" (1944), "Magnificent Doll" (1946) with Ginger Rogers and "Born to Kill" (1947). He also appeared in "Too Many Winners" (1947), "Ride the Pink Horse" (1947) and the spy thriller "Walk a Crooked Mile" (1948) with Louis Hayward. His film career continued throughout the forties and the fifties in productions like the action movie "Canadian Pacific" (1949) with Randolph Scott, the Ray Milland comedic fantasy "It Happens Every Spring" (1949) and the comedy "Tell It to the Judge" (1949) with Rosalind Russell. He also appeared in "The Lost Volcano" (1950) with Johnny Sheffield. Toward the end of his career, he continued to act in "Human Desire" (1954), the John Agar horror movie "Revenge of the Creature" (1955) and the dramatic adaptation "Trial" (1955) with Glenn Ford. He also appeared in the Ray Milland western "A Man Alone" (1955) and the western "Texas Lady" (1955) with Claudette Colbert. Rhodes last acted in "The Bramble Bush" (1960).
