Biography

Greta Meyer worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Meyer kickstarted her acting career in various films such as "The Match King" (1932), "Flesh" (1932) and "Servant's Entrance" (1934) with Janet Gaynor. She also appeared in "The Line-Up" (1934), the dramatic adaptation "Forsaking All Others" (1934) with Joan Crawford and the dramatic adaptation "Biography of a Bachelor Girl" (1934) with Ann Harding. She kept working in film throughout the thirties, starring in the Jeanette MacDonald adaptation "Naughty Marietta" (1935), "Smart Girl" (1935) and the Jean Harlow comedy "Libeled Lady" (1936). During the latter half of her career, she tackled roles in "Bill Cracks Down" (1937), "Damaged Goods" (1937) and "Torchy Gets Her Man" (1938). She also appeared in "The Great Waltz" (1938) and "Four Sons" (1940) with Don Ameche. Meyer last acted in the adaptation "Friendly Enemies" (1942) with Charles Winninger.
