It would seem that Gwyneth Paltrow has the perfect life. She has two beautiful children, an adoring husband, and a successful career in Hollywood. But while Paltrow’s life seems almost “perfect,” the 40-year-old actress recently revealed that she underwent a devastating miscarriage during her third pregnancy, and that it nearly killed her.
During an interview with in the UK’s Daily Mail Sunday You magazine, Paltrow admitted that her two children — Apple, 8, and Moses, 6 — with Coldplay frontman hubby Chris Martin, keep asking for a younger brother or sister. “My children ask me to have a baby all the time,” she said. “And you never know, I could squeeze one more in. I am missing my third. I’m thinking about it.”
Paltrow continued on to talk about her tragic miscarriage for the first time ever. “But I had a really bad experience when I was pregnant with my third,” she said. “It didn’t work out and I nearly died. So I am like, ‘Are we good here or should we go back and try again?'”

But despite the loss, Paltrow still feels like she may want to have another child. Her husband Martin contributes to the type of stability that a growing family needs. “Regardless of what happens in our marriage, I chose the best father,” she said. “[Chris] is so good to the children and to know that you had kids with such a good man is a real weight off you. We are committed co-parents, we make all the decisions together and lean on each other for support.”
Paltrow even confessed in the October issue of InStyle magazine that she may still want another child. “My brain says, ‘Oh, I think I’m done, the kids are so big now, and I don’t want to go back to changing diapers,'” she said. “But a part of me would love to have another. Of course, I’m old now!”
