Biography

Hanley Stafford worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. A role in the musical comedy "The Lullaby of Broadway" (1951) with Doris Day marked the beginning of Stafford's career. Stafford then began to rack up a number of film credits including roles in the Groucho Marx comedy "A Girl in Every Port" (1952) and the Janet Leigh comedy "Just This Once" (1952). Toward the end of his career, Stafford acted in the musical comedy "The Affairs of Dobie Gillis" (1953) with Debbie Reynolds.
