Happy Pride Month! June 1 officially kicked off Pride Month 2021, and we’re all here to celebrate—including Hollywood’s favorite celebrities. Celebs are promoting inclusiveness as well as a supportive environment on social media for their followers, who may be breaking into the LGBTQA+ community themselves or are already out and proud.
To be honest, this is one of my favorite months to celebrate because everyone is gleaming with joy and excitement to be who they are—no matter if they are straight, gay, bisexual, or anything else!
Celebrities celebrating Pride Month: Neil Patick Harris
This Pride Month, Neil Patrick Harris celebrated his two children that he has with husband, David Burtka. Neil is “so crazy proud” of his kids thriving in this new, progressive world we live in and living out their truth with having two fathers. Neil and David’s kids’ names are Grace Harper and Gideon Scott Burtka-Harris.
Prior to that post, Neil Patrick Harris wished his hubby a happy 46th birthday!
Celebrities celebrating Pride Month: Dan Levy
Dan Levy also celebrated Pride Month by posting a photo of a billboard of the Schitt’s Creek series finale and simply writing, “Proud.” According to Parade, the actor does not have a steady partner but he has been out since he was 18 years old.
Celebrities celebrating Pride Month: Lance Bass
Lance Bass and husband Michael Turchin are expecting their first child(ren)—twins!!! The couple is expecting their fraternal twins (boy and girl) via surrogate this coming fall, and they made their announcement on June 3—just in time for Pride Month 2021!
Celebrities celebrating Pride Month: Cynthia Nixon
Cynthia Nixon took to Instagram to wish everyone a happy Pride Month and commemorate the time she celebrated with friends in Buffalo, NY (and to also promote India Walton for Mayor of Buffalo). Cynthia, a political activist and a member of the LGBTQA+ community herself, is a spokeswoman for equality and a woman for both the state of New York and America.
Did you know that Cynthia Nixon’s first grade bestie’s little girl is best friends with Cynthia’s little boy? Had to share that fun fact because girlfriends really are our soulmates. (Yes, that’s a paraphrased Sex and the City quote.)
Celebrities celebrating Pride Month: Chris Sapphire
The Circle star Chris Sapphire is one proud member of the LGBTQA+ community. The influencer took to Instagram to let everyone know that he came out when he was 14 years old and has not looked back since. He paraphrased Lady Gaga’s “Born this Way” by saying, “God makes no mistakes and He didn’t start with you.” He adds his own personal hashtag #SpreadLoveLikeButter, which I think perfectly captures his personality and sexuality!
