Heigl celebrated her pal’s journey into motherhood by inviting 25 friends, including their fellow Grey’s Anatomy co-stars Kate Walsh and Sandra Oh, to the outdoor bash held under giant umbrellas in the backyard of her Los Angeles home.
Pompeo, who is expecting a daughter in October (09) with husband Chris Ivery, was also joined by Rebecca Gayheart, the wife of her Grey’s co-star Eric Dane.
A guest tells People.com, “Ellen looked gorgeous in a white summer dress with her hair in a braided up-do. She seemed very excited to celebrate with her girlfriends.”
