Biography

Henry Hayashi was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. He also starred in the TV movies "A Perry Mason Mystery: The Case of the Grimacing Governor" (1994-95), "Beanstalk" (Disney, 1995-96) and "Sharon's Secret" (USA, 1995-96). He also took on a few movie roles at the time, appearing in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III" (1993) featuring Elias Koteas and "Sgt. Bilko" (1996) with Steve Martin. He continued to work steadily in television throughout the nineties and the early 2000s, appearing on "Boston Legal" (2004-09), "House" (Fox, 2004-2012) and "Heroes" (NBC, 2006-2010). He also appeared in "Castle" (ABC, 2008-). He also had roles in film during these years, including roles in the Martin Lawrence action film "Blue Streak" (1999). In his more recent career, he tackled roles on "Southland" (2008-2013), "Hawaii Five-O" (CBS, 2010-) and "2 Broke Girls" (CBS, 2011-). He also held acting roles in films like the Jason Statham action flick "Crank: High Voltage" (2009) and "Gamer" (2009). He also lent his distinctive voice to "Oliver Stone's Untold History of the United States" (2012). Hayashi most recently worked on the historical romance "Shanghai" (2015) with Gong Li.
