Hugh Beaumont worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Beaumont's early acting career consisted of roles in various films, such as "Flight Lieutenant" (1942) with Pat O'Brien, "Fallen Sparrow" (1943) and the thriller "The Seventh Victim" (1943) with Tom Conway. He also appeared in "Apology for Murder" (1945), "Blood on the Sun" (1945) and the action movie "Objective Burma!" (1945) with Errol Flynn. His film career continued throughout the forties in productions like "Murder Is My Business" (1946), the Alan Ladd thriller "The Blue Dahlia" (1946) and "Larceny in Her Heart" (1946). He also appeared in "Bury Me Dead" (1947). In the latter half of his career, he continued to act in the Ronald Reagan western "The Last Outpost" (1951), the Cesar Romero adventure "The Lost Continent" (1951) and the drama "Phone Call From a Stranger" (1952) with Shelley Winters. He also appeared in "Night Without Sleep" (1952) and the Tyrone Power drama "The Mississippi Gambler" (1953). Beaumont last acted in the western "Night Passage" (1957) with James Stewart. Hugh Beaumont passed away in May 1982 at the age of 73.
