I don’t know how it gets better than this – ‘Fearless (Taylor’s Version)’

Hey Hollywooders and Swifties! On Wednesday, we woke up to Taylor Swift dropping “Mr. Perfectly Fine” and today we are feeling all the HollyGOOD vibes as Taylor Swift takes our hand and drags us head first into Fearless (Taylor’s Version).

As mentioned in Wednesday’s article, I am a shameless Taylor Swift stan ever since her self-titled album came out when I was in high school. I’m writing this while listening to Fearless (Taylor’s Version) on repeat.

Keep scrolling to get an OOO (Out of Office) message if you need to take the day off to listen to Taylor Swift’s “new” album.

Why did Taylor Swift decide to re-record Fearless?

It’s common for artists to re-record hit songs, but no one has ever done it quite like Taylor Swift (is my bias showing?!).

“Deciding on what album to re-record first was pretty easy for me,” Taylor Swift says in an interview. “I always gravitated towards Fearless because I think that, as an album, it was a real coming-of-age. And I look back on that album and it fills me with such pride, and it was an album about hope, and lessons learned, and the effervescence of teenage youth and all that. What more fun than to go back and explore that?”

Fearless (Taylor’s Version) includes six unreleased tracks from the “vault” plus a bonus song. “The additional songs that I’ve added are songs that I think add insight into what the album almost was,” Taylor Swift says, “because every time you make an album, you leave some songs off, and I think it’s really cool that the fans will get to have the full picture this time around.”

It’s pretty incredible to hear the same songs, 13 years later. Rolling Stone describes Taylor Swift’s voice as “richer, deeper and more sure of itself.”

Considering I’m only one year younger than Taylor Swift, I can personally relate to feeling more sure of myself now versus 2008 me and I know I’m not the only fan to feel that way. Listening to her songs 13 years later is truly an emotional rollercoaster.

Taylor Swift fans and friends react to Fearless (Taylor’s Version)

Keith Urban, who is featured on two tracks, tweeted “Magic” saying “I hadn’t heard our voices together since sitting in with you on the 1989 tour in Toronto!”

Here’s what to send to your boss if you need to call out today:

If you need an OOO message for today, we got you covered.

Thank you for your message. I am unable to get back to you today as I’m busy crying while listening to Fearless (Taylor’s Version) on repeat. If your matter is urgent, it probably isn’t as urgent as me revisiting memories from my teenage years. I will respond to your message on Monday.
