Ice Age 4 drifts back to number one at U.K. box office

Ice Age 4: Continental Drift bumped The Amazing Spider-Man into second place, taking $16 million (£10 million) over the weekend (13-15Jul12).

Andrew Garfield’s debut as the web-spinning superhero managed to garner another $4.8 million (£3 million) over the weekend, while Channing Tatum’s stripper movie Magic Mike was in third with sales of $4.1 (£2.6 million).

Apocalyptic comedy Seeking a Friend for the End of the World ($571,000/£357,200) and Bollywood movie Cocktail ($473,000/£296,778) round out the top five.
