Illeana Douglas wept in Marlon Brando’s arms the first time they met

Actress Illeana Douglas struggled to keep her emotions in check the first time she met her idol Marlon Brando, and burst into tears.
The star was introduced to the late Hollywood legend by her then-boyfriend Martin Scorsese, and she was so overcome with emotion, she cried in Brando’s arms, prompting the actor to start weeping.
“I couldn’t look at him (at first),” she tells HuffPost Live. “I was sort of darting out of the corner of my eye, looking at him. When I finally did lock eyes (with) him, I literally just burst out crying.
“This flood of emotion came out. (I told him), ‘Everything I am and want to be is because of you’. It was like the earth started to move. We just got tuned into each other and then he started crying.
“Suddenly, we were just on this wave of emotion, where we really connected on a human level.”
