Ion Overman is an American actress who had a recurring part on the soap "General Hospital" and a starring role on the comedy "Love, Inc. " A graduate of UCLA, where she received an English literature degree, she began acting on screen in the mid '90s with a supporting role in the war drama "The Walking Dead." Several guest-starring parts on shows like the action program "Pensacola: Wings of Gold" and the sitcom "Norm" led to a recurring series role as Gabriela Garza on the daytime drama "General Hospital" and its spinoff show, "Port Charles." Other series roles included a three-episode spell on the drama "Strong Medicine" during the 2001-2002 season and stints on "The Young and the Restless" and "The L Word." Her longest series work came on the romantic comedy "Love, Inc.," which lasted 22 episodes. She has also appeared in Tyler Perry's film "Madea Goes to Jail," and in 2009 appeared on "Desperate Housewives" and as Detective Sam Blair on the fantasy show "Ghost Whisperer."
