Izzy Stradlin blames money for missing Guns N’ Roses reunion

Former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Izzy Stradlin wasn’t involved in the group’s reunion because his bandmates didn’t want to “split the loot equally”.
Stradlin opted against reuniting with his former bandmates Axl Rose, Slash and bassist Duff McKagan on their current Not in This Lifetime Tour, and during a rare interview last week (ends04Sep16) Rose claimed he had no idea why the band’s co-founder wasn’t involved.
“I don’t really know what to say about Izzy,” Axl told Brazil’s Globo TV. “It’s like you could have a conversation and think it’s one way, and the next day it’s another way. And I’m not trying to take any shots at Izzy. It’s just his thing is kind of his thing, whatever that is.”
Stradlin has now reached out to fans on Twitter to blast Rose’s comments and claim his lack of involvement came down to money.
“Bulls**t,” he wrote. “They didn’t want to split the loot equally . Simple as that . Moving right along……..”
He originally left in 1991 but has made occasional guest appearances. Fellow classic line-up member, drummer Steven Adler, has also appeared onstage for several recent shows, but Rose doesn’t know how much he will be involved when the tour resumes in Peru on 27 October (16) because he has had back surgery.
Rose is currently on tour with AC/DC, with their Rock or Bust world tour concluding on 20 September (16).
