Biography

While the fan favorite might be charismatic Justin Timberlake, his former co-star on "The Mickey Mouse Club" (Disney Channel), *NSYNC's J. C. Chasez was widely considered to be the group's best singer, with a powerful midrange tenor that was suited to both heart-tugging ballads and up tempo shouters. Handsome, dark-haired and trend-conscious, the Washington, DC native spent three years (1991-1994) honing his acting and singing skills on "MMC", where he appeared in comedy sketches and also was featured in the soap-within-the-show "Emerald Cove" from 1992 through 1994.

Bonus Trivia

.

Chasez last name is pronounced SHA-zay.

.

J.C. Chasez on creative control: "As far as the movie's concerned, it's the same thing, even with this latest album, you know what I mean? We wanted complete creative control, we wanted to run, we wanted it to be solely what *NSYNC is about. I think, you know, when we go do a movie, I think we want it our way, that way it doesn't get cheesed out and you know, it just doesn't feel like it's not us and what we wanted to do. We don't wanna feel like we lost control at any point, so again, that's why we got with a small film company instead of a giant one. We wanted people who believed in us." --quoted to MTVNEWS.com, June 1, 2000.
