Romance bloomed in the Flower State this past Saturday, April 7, as hometown country star Jake Owen got engaged. Owen, 30, was in the middle of a performance at the Citrus Bowl, when he pulled his girlfriend, model/actress Lacey Buchanan, on stage to propose.
Owen brought Buchanan onto the stadium stage during fan favorite, “I Don’t Think I Can’t Love You,” at which point he got down on one knee. He then declared, “You’re probably wondering where your ring is, right? I just said I can’t buy you a big diamond ring or a big old house on the hill, but I promise you I’ll love you forever and ever and ever.”
On Sunday, April 8, Owen took to Twitter to announce, “I’m a happy man. Life is complete.” Buchanan has appeared in the music videos for Owen’s songs “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” and “Eight Second Ride.”
