James Cameron Screens Avatar for U.S. Troops

James CameronJames Cameron and the cast of Avatar have given a morale boost to the U.S. military in Bahrain – they staged a special screening of the film for troops.

The director, along with the movie’s stars Weaver, Stephen Lang and Michelle Rodriguez, jetted to the island nation in January to showcase their award-winning film at a military base and aboard two battleships.

And Cameron’s ex-Marine brother, John D. Cameron, was thrilled with his sibling’s morale-boosting visit. Cameron told the NY Post, “Showing Avatar to the troops was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. To do something for the men and women who serve our country was a great privilege.”
