Biography

Small-screen character actor James Edson hasn't exactly become a breakout star, but he has appeared in small roles in popular series since he landed his first late-'90s episode of the Fran Drescher sitcom "The Nanny," a show that invited him back as several background characters for six total episodes. Edson was then cast in the ABC half-hour comedy "Sports Night" playing Mike Greenway, a field correspondent for the show-within-a-show. Bit roles in high-profile series such as "Malcolm in the Middle" and "Boston Legal" followed, before Edson secured the role of Stephan "Bobby" Wasserstein on the massively popular sitcom "Two and a Half Men."
