Biography

James Harrison made an exciting career for himself as both a football star and entertainer. Harrison started off his career in film with roles in the western "Panhandle" (1948) with Rod Cameron, the Rod Cameron western "Stampede" (1949) and "Vengeance Valley" (1951) with Burt Lancaster. Harrison also appeared in "Alcatraz: The Whole Shocking Story" (1980-81), "Suburbia" (1983) and "Homosexuality: What Science Understands" (1987). He also worked on "Changing Our Minds: The Story of Dr. Evelyn Hooker" with Evelyn Hooker (1992) and "The Big Brass Ring" (Showtime, 1998-99). Harrison was most recently credited in the Chris Nolte comedy "Out on a Limb" (2005). Harrison passed away in June 1986 at the age of 95.
