Biography

James Van Patten was an actor who founded his career success with roles in film. Patten had an early acting career in film, appearing in such titles as "Hot Lead and Cold Feet" (1978) featuring Jim Dale, the romance "Roller Boogie" (1979) with Linda Blair and "California Dreaming" (1979). He also appeared in "Lunch Wagon" (1980) and the Ernest Borgnine drama "Young Warriors" (1983). He also was featured in the miniseries "The Chisholms" (1978-79). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like "Nightforce" (1987), the George Kennedy drama "Private Roads (No Trespassing)" (1988) and "Twisted Justice" (1990) with David Heavener. He also appeared in the comedy "Life Stinks" (1991) with Mel Brooks. In his more recent career, he continued to act in "Trapped" (1993), the Scott Patterson horror sequel "Saw IV" (2007) and the horror sequel "Saw VI" (2009) with Tobin Bell. Patten also acted in "Nightmare Boulevard."
