Jane Asher closes baking business

British actress Jane Asher has closed her cake-making business after 25 years.
The Alfie star, who dated Paul McCartney, took time out of acting in the 1990s to focus on releasing baking books, kitchenware products and opening a specialist event cake shop in the Chelsea neighbourhood of London.
However, Asher, 69, has now decided to close the business because she has gone back to acting in recent years and is struggling to juggle both careers.
She tells Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper, “I knew I couldn’t keep it going for ever… It is a bit sad, but it’s 25 years and it seemed a good time to do it. I’ve been finding it increasingly difficult to keep as much of an eye on it and take as much part in it as I like to do because of going back into acting.”
