Jason Donovan aids woman who collapsed in street

Jason Donovan rushed to the aid of a woman who collapsed in the street near his home in Notting Hill, west London on Wednesday (29May19)
Passers by saw the Australian singer and actor, who was out jogging at the time, crouched by the side of the woman, who suffered a nasty fall and was left unconscious and in need of treatment.
Speaking to Britain’s The Sun newspaper, an onlooker reported the star played a key role in assisting the woman, explaining: “(She) was in a bit of a state. Jason was with her for around 15 minutes until the paramedics arrived. He stayed with her while they treated her on the pavement, but the other bystanders left.
“It looked like he was on the phone to 999 while they were waiting,” they continued. “I think he went home to get some ice because he was holding a bag of it against her cheek. She had a very nasty, large bruise from where she had fallen.”
The witness also revealed the 50-year-old flashed the unfortunate patient a “big and encouraging” smile as she was taken into an ambulance.
Pictures obtained by the newspaper confirm the star’s act of heroism, but he insisted he only acted as he believes others would have.
“I’m no hero,” he said. “I did what any responsible citizen would have done. I just wanted to help someone in need.”
Editors from the newspaper claimed friends of the woman have been in touch with the former Neighbours star to express their thanks, but her condition remains unknown.
