Sir David Jason and Penelope Keith were among the stars who paid tribute to late actress Jean Kent at her funeral on Saturday (21Dec13). The 92-year-old died on 30 November (13) following a fall at her home, but her funeral was subsequently postponed so officials could investigate her death.
Kent’s body was finally released to her family this week (beg16Dec13), and her memorial service took place at St Margaret’s Church in Westhorpe, Suffolk on Saturday.
Jason and Keith both sent tributes, which were read out during the service, and Kent was buried in the churchyard next to her husband, who died in 1989.
The local coroner has opened an inquest, but police have insisted they are not treating her death as suspicious.
