Jeff Goldblum acted out Isle of Dogs role over the phone

Filmmaker Wes Anderson directed Jeff Goldblum over the phone for his new movie Isle Of Dogs.
The Independence Day star, who voices a dog named Duke in the movie, was not able to make it to a recording session with his co-stars Bryan Cranston, Bob Balaban, and Bill Murray, so he recorded his part over the phone.
“I did it in a recording studio (in California) and he was in New York,” Jeff told U.S. chat show The Talk on Wednesday (28Mar18). “He invited me to the recording session (with the other actors), but I couldn’t go.”
“So we did it like that for a couple hours… for the whole movie and they worked on it for, like, three, four years,” he added. “This was the most painstaking kind of thing I know, but it’s a beautiful movie, it’s a masterpiece.”
