Jenni Rivera Missing After Plane Disappears [UPDATE] — REPORT

ORIGINAL STORY: Reality star and renowned Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera went missing on Sunday after her plane disappeared following take-off from Monterrey, Mexico, according to The Associated Press.  A small plane carrying the singer took off Sunday around 3:30AM local time after a concert in the area, according to authorities in the region. Aviation authorities reportedly lost contact with the plane about 10 minutes after take-off. It was scheduled to arrive in a town outside of Mexico City named Toluca an hour after. It did not arrive. According to authorities, a search is underway for the plane that was carrying six other individuals besides Rivera (including the crew) using local enforcement agencies and helicopters canvassing the plane’s intended flight path. Rivera is a Long Beach, California native who—besides being known for her work as a Nortena and Banda singer—was also a producer and star of her several reality programs seen on Mun and E!’s Style Network here in the United States, including the popular I Love Jenni. has reached out for comment, but did not hear back at the time of publication.
