Jeremy Irons apologises for radio show F-bomb

Movie veteran Jeremy Irons was left red-faced during a BBC radio chat on Friday (18Mar16) when the host made him apologise for swearing on air.
The Oscar winner inadvertently dropped the F-bomb on British presenter Chris Evans’ Radio 2 show, while promoting his latest movie High Rise.
Revealing advice he was given by pal John Hurt about intimidating young actors, Jeremy recalled, “He said, ‘You know what I do when I find a good actor? I say to him, ‘You have a wonderful voice. Have you ever listened to it?’ And the actor is f**ked.”
Evans wasn’t happy with his guest’s foul language and urged him to apologise to listeners, stating, “You can’t say that on the BBC!”
Embarrassed Irons promptly apologised and explained his interview with Evans felt so “relaxed” and “normal”.
