Jerry Desmonde worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Desmonde found his beginnings in film with roles in the musical "London Town" (1946) with Sid Field, the Norman Wisdom comedy "Trouble in Store" (1955), and "A Kind of Loving" (1962). Desmonde then began to rack up a number of film credits including roles in the comedy "Carry on Regardless" (1963) with Sidney James, "Stolen Hours" (1963) with Susan Hayward and the Ian Hendry drama "The Beauty Jungle" (1966). He also appeared in "A King in New York." Desmonde also acted in "Malta Story."
