Jesse Metcalfe and Cara Santana host engagement party

Jesse Metcalfe and Cara Santana toasted their engagement at a party in Los Angeles on Saturday (12Nov16).
The former Desperate Housewives actor proposed to the fashion blogger during a romantic boat ride on the Hudson River in New York in August (16), after ten years of dating.
They finally threw a party to celebrate their engagement with family and friends at the luxury club Hills Penthouse West Hollywood in Los Angeles over the weekend (12-13Nov16) and shared a video on Instagram made up of pictures of the couple, wearing a grey suit and plum shirt and backless gold sequinned dress respectively, posing in a photo booth. In the various snapshots, they are smiling for the camera, kissing, and holding hands, with their names written in a love heart in the corner of the snaps.
“Such an awesome evening celebrating our engagement!!! Thank you so much to all of our family and friends for sharing this moment with us! Love you all!!!,” Jesse wrote in the caption.
“Such A Fun Night // Thank You To All Our Family And Friends For Celebrating With Us //,” Cara wrote, followed by snaps of her hanging out with friends at the club, including Olivia Culpo.
The 37-year-old actor recently told Entertainment Tonight they were planning on a long engagement, with a wedding date set in September, 2018 on the East Coast.
“We kind of want to do this for our family and friends, for our loved ones,” he said. “Although it’s our big day, we want it to be a day that they’re going to remember, too.”
He also added Cara will be mostly in charge of organising the bash, but he will get a say in it too.
“She kinda runs everything by me, so if something jumps out at me and I’m like, ‘No! I definitely don’t want that’, then I kinda get to put my two cents in. But, for the most part, it’s her party,” he explained.
