Willow star Joanne Whalley has reportedly landed the role of Matt Murdock’s mother in Netflix’s hit Daredevil series.
The actress is set to play Sister Maggie in the upcoming third season of the comic book series, according to Deadline.
Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb has confirmed she’s on board, but no one is revealing her character.
“We are big fans of Joanne’s work and are fortunate that someone of her calibre will be joining our already talented family,” he says.
Whalley joins Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, and Elden Henson on the show, which debuted to critical acclaim on the streaming service in April, 2015.
