John Gallaudet worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Gallaudet's earliest roles were in film, including the dramedy "Adventure in Manhattan" (1936) with Jean Arthur, the Ralph Bellamy drama "The Final Hour" (1936) and "Alibi For Murder" (1936). He also appeared in "Pennies From Heaven" (1936), "Racketeers in Exile" (1937) and "Devil's Playground" (1937). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like "The Man Who Dared" (1939), the musical "The Star Maker" (1939) with Bing Crosby and the George Brent action movie "Wings of the Navy" (1939). He also appeared in "Street of Missing Men" (1939) with Charles Bickford. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the Jack Carson musical "April Showers" (1948), the adventure "Docks of New Orleans" (1948) with Roland Winters and "Task Force" (1949). He also appeared in "Quicksand" (1950) and the Paul Douglas comedic fantasy "Angels in the Outfield" (1951). Gallaudet last acted on "Mannix" (1967-1975).
