Renowned for his spectacular coaching, John Madden brought that same energetic charisma out of the locker room and into the entertainment business. He also branched into film during these years, including a part in the drama "P.K. and the Kid" (1982) with Paul Le Mat. He appeared in a number of television specials, including "Super Night at the Super Bowl" (1986-87) and "The NFL Pre-Season Special" (1987-88). Madden's voice could also be heard in "The Simpsons" (1989-). He appeared in a number of television specials, including "Rebels With a Cause: The Story of the American Football League" (1995-96), "The Super Bowl at 30: Big Game America" (1995-96) and "Oops! The World's Funniest Outtakes 4" (1996-97). Additionally, he later acted in the Rick Moranis comedic sports movie "Little Giants" (1994). In the early 2000s, Madden lent his talents to projects like "19th Annual Blockbuster All-Madden Team" (Fox, 2001-02), "Broadway Joe: The Joe Namath Story," "Super Bowl XXXVI" (Fox, 2001-02), "Super Bowl XXXVII" (ABC, 2002-03) and "Dave Barry's Complete Guide to Guys" with John Cleese (2005). Madden most recently appeared in "Lombardi" (2010-11).
