John Michael Montgomery sidelined after surgery

Country star John Michael Montgomery has been forced to scrap a series of shows after undergoing surgery.
The I Swear singer is recovering at home and in a Facebook post to fans explains he won’t be back on the road until later this month (Jan18).
“As you may of heard (sic) I went into the hospital for some surgery that is going to require me to stay home this weekend January 12/13,” he wrote. “I’m recovering well and ready to be back on the road January 19 and 20.
“The fine folks at the Tarheel Opry House in Jacksonville, NC (North Carolina) are going to bring us back January 27th so hold on to those tickets and see you in just 2 short weeks.”
Montgomery was initially billed to perform at the Tarheel Opry House on Saturday (13Jan18).
Details of the singer’s surgery have not been released.
