John Robinson's talent as an actor was best showcased by his dramatic film work. At the start of his acting career, Robinson starred in dramas like "Elephant" (2003) starring Alex Frost, "Lords of Dogtown" (2005) with Heath Ledger and John Robinson and "The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things" (2006) with Asia Argento. He also appeared in the Liam Neeson film "Seraphim Falls" (2007). He also appeared in the TV movie "Framed for Murder" (2006-07). He worked in series television while getting his start in acting, including a part on "The Dresden Files" (2006-07). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the Shia LaBeouf smash hit action film "Transformers" (2007), the Sean Marquette dramedy "Remember the Daze" (2008) and "Wendy and Lucy" (2008). He also appeared in "186 Dollars to Freedom" (2012). He also landed a role in the miniseries "The Kennedys" (2010-11). He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "Skins (MTV)" (2010-11). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Deadfall" (2012) with Eric Bana, the dramatic adaptation "Big Sur" (2013) with Jean-Marc Barr and "Something Wicked" (2014).
