Rocker John Rzeznik will be celebrating this Christmas as a new father after welcoming his first child on Thursday (22Dec16).
The Goo Goo Dolls frontman and his wife Melina are new parents to a daughter named Liliana Carella Rzeznik, who was born in Los Angeles.
“The new family is doing great,” a representative tells People.com.
The veteran musician announced he was to become a dad at 51 earlier this month (Dec16), during a Facebook Live chat with Sirius XM.
“I’m ready. I’m ready for action,” he smiled of tackling diaper duty. “I’ve been an uncle my whole life, but I’ve never been a dad… I’m sleeping in two-hour shifts (to prepare).”
Rzeznik wed Melina in 2013 after eight years of dating.
